Building Maths Mastery: Using the Instructional Hierarchy to Drive Learning
PRESENTED BY NICOLE THOMPSON AND JESSICA BATINOVIC
Effective mathematics instruction requires more than strong content knowledge, it depends on understanding how students learn new skills and concepts over time. This professional development session explores the Instructional Hierarchy as a framework for designing and delivering high-impact maths lessons.
Participants will learn how to identify where learners are in their skill development and apply targeted strategies to move them forward. Through practical examples and research based content, teachers will leave with a clearer framework for planning, instruction, and assessment that supports sustained growth in mathematics learning.
