Have Dr Ange Rogers as your mentor...
Dr Ange Rogers is an experienced and passionate expert in Mathematics Education. Within the NTA, Dr Ange works closely with teachers and leaders to provide support, guidance and ongoing high quality PD throughout the whole year.
What is the NTA?
The Numeracy Teachers Academy is Numeracy Professional Development re-imagined! Research shows that ongoing, sequenced and differentiated PD is the most effective way for teachers and leaders to change their practice. The NTA is a unique blend of mentoring, quality PD and networking that will take your teaching and leadership to the next level.
PILLAR 1: QUALITY PD CONTENT
How many hours have you spent researching upcoming Numeracy topics? There must be an easier way! You need focused and targeted PD relevant to where you are in your teaching journey. In the NTA, Dr Ange Rogers combines the latest research and best-practice teaching to create short, sharp, high quality online PD trainings.
PILLAR 2: EXPERT MENTORING
It is one thing to learn about teaching Numeracy, but it is another to successfully apply this learning in your classroom. This process is critical to making progress in your teaching and improving student outcomes. In the NTA, Dr Ange provides mentorship across the whole year and is available to answer your questions as you implement change in your classroom.
PILLAR 3: NETWORKING WITH PEERS
Teaching Numeracy is not easy! It is even harder without the support of knowledgeable colleagues. The NTA is made up of likeminded teachers and leaders wanting to move forward in their teaching of Numeracy. In the NTA Community Hub, you will learn what others are doing in their schools, share ideas, ask questions, and hone your expertise.
I signed up to the NTA because as a graduate everything can be quite overwhelming. Having Ange as my mentor has been fantastic. I can not recommend this enough to other graduates who want additional support in teaching maths. NTA is the place to go! You won't regret it!
~Olivia, Foundation Teacher, North Melbourne.
As a Numeracy Leader, I have attended various PD's run by Ange. I knew the NTA would improve my own knowledge of Mathematics so I could improve teacher practice and enhance student outcomes in my school. The modules are practical, easy to follow and have inspired me to go out and implement the strategies and practices. I would recommend the NTA for all teachers, no matter if you are a graduate teacher or an experienced Numeracy Leader. There’s something for everyone!
~Susan, Numeracy Leader, Essendon.
